Exclusive Partnership

We are thrilled to share with you an exciting new partnership between Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc and Hublot, the creators of cutting edge timepieces. We have joined forces to produce a bespoke timepiece that combines tradition with innovation and state-of-the-art design with craftsmanship; values that unite our two brands.

Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc 45mm

This is an extremely rare timepiece, only 50 in the world, available exclusively from Eden Being. Created by Hublot, the Swiss watchmaker who pioneered a fusion design with precious gold and natural rubber. Hublot, translating as porthole, is an entirely perfect fit with the sea front Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc. The face design features the hotel’s nautical logo, and touches of blue on the hands, reflecting the sea and sky back drop to this sparkling white palace on the Côte d’Azur.

A unique creation

A concept that is dear to Hublot's heart, the 'Art of Fusion' consists of merging elements of nature that would never normally come together. This has been the common thread for the design of each and every timepiece produced in the Swiss-based atelier, ever since the brand was created. Today, this fusion unites the realms of horology and Masterpiece hotels.

The Swiss watchmaking brand has joined forces with the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc to create a very limited edition of the Classic Fusion Aerofusion Chronograph. Measuring 45 mm in diameter and featuring a chronograph, these automatic

watches will be exclusively available to clients of the hotel. A true hideaway for guests from all over the world, the Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc has been a luxurious retreat on the tip of the Cap d’Antibes on the French Riviera, since 1870.

Loyal clients of the hotel will undoubtedly appreciate the iconic emblem of the hotel representing a lifebuoy on the small seconds dial. The cool shades of blue on the dial are a constant reminder of happy times spent in this heavenly place, relaxing round the pool or simply watching the sunset from the balcony of their room.

or the "Art of Fusion"

Hublot was founded in Switzerland in 1980. In those days, it was the first luxury watchmaker to combine gold and natural rubber. This creative concept, dubbed the "Art of Fusion", caused a real stir in the watchmaking industry at the time. The original design of these watches (the case on the first watch took its inspiration directly from a boat's porthole, an hublot in French) and their comfortable fit quickly made them very sought-after pieces. Indeed, members of royal families were the first to show their enthusiasm.

In 2004, Mr Jean-Claude Biver – one of few people to have genuinely left their mark on Swiss watchmaking – took over control of the brand and gave it tremendous momentum, leading to impressive growth. With the launch of the BIG BANG chronograph in 2005, the multiple award winning chronograph with a contemporary and elegant design, the brand started achieving records, awards and success. Its design – brand new to the world of watchmaking – was immediately recognisable: with sharper corners and its 6 screws which passed right through the case, it represented the perfect illustration of the concept of fusion, the philosophy of the brand.

After attaining almost a tenfold increase in turnover in four years, in 2008 the brand was bought by the world leader in luxury products, LVMH group, to supplement its watch segment. In 2009, Bernard Arnault and Jean-Claude Biver jointly oversaw the inauguration of a new high-tech manufacture in premises over 6000m2, set on the banks of Lake Geneva. This was an important step for the autonomy of the brand in its creativity and innovative research. The site is currently dedicated to the production of the unique UNICO movement, a column-wheel chronograph integrated into the dial side, conceived, developed and manufactured entirely by Hublot as well as Grand watch Complications.

Since then, there have been 5 collections – Big Bang, Classic Fusion, Manufacture Pieces, Techframe and King Power - housing movements ranging from the simplest to the most complicated including the World record breaker with 50 days of power reserve for the MP-05 LaFerrari, tourbillons, minute repeaters with cathedral chime, the Antikythera movement, the Key of Time movement, split-seconds, jumping seconds, retrograde dates, GMT…). Thanks to these pieces, Hublot continues to write the history of fusion combining materials such as Magic Gold (the unique and exclusive unscratchable 18K gold, King Gold (18K Gold 5N with platinum), carbon fiber, coloured ceramics, sapphire, Texalium, tungsten, cermet, Hublonium (combinaison of aluminium and magnesium), titanium with more traditional materials like gold, platinum, ceramics, steel, rubber, diamonds and precious stones.

Today, Ricardo Guadalupe, Chief Executive Officer, runs the company with Jean-Claude Biver, Chairman of the Board and President of the Watches Division, LVMH Group.
